This project began by removing the failing drainage system that could no longer keep up with heavy rains. The old setup allowed water to collect around the foundation and across walkways, leading to erosion and puddling. Once cleared, we installed a new drainage line designed to handle water flow efficiently and redirect it safely away from the property. Proper grading and compacted base materials ensured the system would perform reliably for years to come.
Rather than leaving an exposed drain area, the homeowner chose to elevate the project with a stamped concrete cover-up. This not only concealed the new system but also added a decorative touch to the outdoor space. The concrete was poured, finished with a stamped pattern that complements the surrounding landscape, and sealed for durability. The result is a surface that looks like custom stonework while still allowing easy access to the drainage components.
The finished project solves the flooding concerns while adding style and value to the property. It’s a perfect example of how practical improvements don’t have to sacrifice appearance—in fact, they can enhance it.
